Growing up in a small town on the prairies, I was able to develop a sense of space, time, and nature that is communicated in my art. I am clearly torn by a love for the city and human development and yet at the same time obsessed with landscapes and natural elements that surround the people of the prairies. These two dichotomies are consistent throughout my work- in my art they are represented in the peace created from viewing a vast prairiescape and in the energy created from viewing the constant rhythms, motions and chaos of a cityscape.
